Welcome to the “New” Old Mill Inn

As new owners of this historic property, our goal is to create a unique alternative to both large chain hotels and traditional “floral wallpapered” B and Bs – to become a premier destination “boutique” New England Inn.

In January 2021, we undertook a complete renovation of the building. While creating the Inn’s new look, we opted for a chic, “urban industrial” feel, designed to provide guests with an upscale, modern, experience while remaining true to the industrial heritage of the Inn and surrounding area.

All rooms and suites have been completely renovated and re-furnished.

If you haven’t been to the Old Mill recently, you haven’t been to the New Old Mill Inn

2021 Renovations: Our New Look!

In January 2021, we undertook a complete renovation of the building. While attempting to revitalize and embrace the Inn’s historic qualities, we opted for a chic, “urban industrial” feel, designed to provide guests with an upscale, modern, experience while remaining true to the industrial heritage of the Inn and surrounding area. Each guest room and suite is uniquely appointed, so each experience is truly one of a kind.

New to 2022 – We have a brand new, covered patio off the front of the building. Sit overlooking the falls and enjoy the beauty of the seasons! CLICK HERE to see the pictures!

History of the Inn and Surrounding Area

The Old Mill Inn sits on bank of the Mill River in Hatfield, and guests can relax to the sound of the rushing river and our own waterfall. Originally built as a grist mill in 1870, the Mill has seen many transformations, from gun machining shop, to a grist mill, a newspaper print shop and its most recent incarnation in 2021, as a boutique hotel. For those of you who are looking for a private retreat, romantic getaway, or a “not your run of the Mill” place to hold a meeting or event, the Old Mill Inn offers it all.

In addition to our nine rooms with private baths, we offer four guest suites with kitchens and room for additional guests.
